Do you know anything about safety shoes? Safety shoes, as the name suggests, are shoes that can protect your feet. They may not be as stylish as loafers, trainers, leather shoes, etc., but in my opinion, safety shoes are more sophisticated in design because they really do protect our feet from external elements such as chemicals, electricity, water or oil that could make you slip. It's just that they are designed to resist every external element that could harm us, rather than to be fashionable.
In fact, there are actually quite a few safety shoes for women on the market today. However, today we are going to talk about the soles of safety shoes. The outsoles of safety shoes are generally divided into rubber soles, polyurethane soles, imitation leather soles, MD soles, TPR soles, EVA soles, polycarbonate soles and so on, depending on the material. Next, we will briefly introduce them through a few articles.
Rubber is divided into natural rubber and synthetic recycled rubber, hot pressed and moulded. The advantages of rubber soles are wear resistance, anti-slip, good elasticity, not easy to break, good softness, good elongation, stable shrinkage, good bending and waterproof. It also has some disadvantages, such as being heavy, easy to frost, easy to corrode and age, weak resistance to tying, weak breathability and moisture absorption, fear of oil immersion, relatively high cost and easy to shorten by heating.
Polyurethane soles
Polyurethane is made of A/B/C polyurethane material foam, divided into two kinds of oil and water-based. It is an organic polymer material, known as the "fifth largest plastic", mostly used in the manufacture of safety shoes, high-grade leather shoes, sports shoes, travel shoes, etc.. Polyurethane sole has excellent wear resistance and repeated flexing performance, good tear strength and elasticity, excellent resistance to oil, acid, alkali and low temperature performance; low density, soft texture, good elasticity, comfortable and light to wear; good oxidation resistance, high hardness, excellent shock absorption, anti-slip performance; good chemical resistance, easy to corrode for environmental protection, not easy to wrinkle. The PU sole is automatically degradable and environmentally friendly. It is more suitable for thick-soled shoes that require impact resistance and wear resistance. Its disadvantages are hydrolysis, cracking, water absorption, easy fracture, poor elongation, lack of water resistance, easy decay of the sole and poor breathability.
