With the development of the economy and the improvement of society, many parents nowadays let their children learn skills such as dancing, painting and musical instruments at an early age. Taekwondo is also a very popular sport with parents and children. If you are starting your child in Taekwondo, the air tumble track may be recommended.
In this picture, a child is doing taekwondo on a mat with a blue border and a light grey cross section. This mat is the actual air tumble track that we have mentioned. As we can see from the top right corner of the picture, this mat is 3 metres long, 1 metre wide and 0.1 metres thick. This is an air tumble track for home use, so if your child wants to learn Taekwondo, it may be able to keep him safe.
However, the air tumble track does not mean that children's safety is no longer a concern. In fact, we need to know how to use the air track properly.
Keeping the area safe
When practising Taekwondo skills, common sense should tell you that something as obvious as a glass table next to the air track you are training on can be a recipe for disaster. Although this example is obvious, there are many less drastic things that can still be dangerous. there should be no furniture or anything hard on any side of The air track. Any nearby concrete should be padded with a mat or something else. There should also be no wires, cords or anything of a similar nature near the gymnastics track. If these obstructions must be present, they should at least be covered with a tarp or something else. You do not want to fall off THE air tumble track and get yourself tangled up. If possible, covering the entire area around the air tumble track with a mat is something you should strongly consider doing.
One area you should pay particular attention to clearing around the air track is the start and end of the air track. When practising tumbling movements you need to have a clear area before the air track starts to get a running start. If you misjudge the length needed for the pass, you can easily leave the end of the gymnastics air track. Most gymnastics gyms have a foam pit or something at the end of the aerial track for this reason. While having a foam pit is not very realistic if you are training at home, you should still make sure that whatever is at the end of your aerial track will give you a soft landing. Just use a little common sense and make sure you don't have anything near your air track.
